NHKドラマ「ER（救急救命室）」の一コマ。中年になったダウン症女性の心臓病が悪化したため、保護者である母親は医者から手術を勧められます。しかし、母親は手術を断りこう述べます「この子を看取って、そして次の日に私は死にたいと思う」
（記憶が間違っていたらごめんなさい）。

障害者の親がいつか必ず直面する問題を丁寧に解説した良書。著者自身は重度の障害を持つ子の父親として、多方面で活躍している行政書士の先生です。内容は東京中心ではありますが具体的で、子の本を手引きに来たるべき事態に備えることができます。

私自身、知らなかった内容も多く（生命保険信宅など）、自分が元気なうちに環境を整える必要を痛感しました。また、最後の章の実例は、最重症以外の障害児を持つ親ならどれかには当てはまる、典型例を5例挙げています。この5例だけでも読む価値があります。

障害を持つ親全てに薦められる本です。

A good book that carefully explained the problem that the parents of disabled always face someday. The author himself is a teacher of an administrative scrivener who is active in many fields as a father of a child with severe disabilities. Although the content is in the center of Tokyo, it is concrete and it is possible to prepare for a situation that a child book should be coming as a guide.

I myself felt the need to prepare the environment while I was energetic, as I had much content (such as life insurance residence) I did not know. In addition, the example of the last chapter lists five typical cases that apply to any parent with disabled children other than the most severe. It is worth reading even in these 5 cases alone.

It is a book recommended for all disabled parents.
