「財布の値段×２００=年収」という、有名(?)な公式を提唱したベストセラーです。手元にある本も半年で第16刷です。
長財布を使うのは、お札に財布の中でくつろいでもらいたいから。二つ折り財布はお札を曲げるので良くない。さらにお尻のポケットにいれるのはお札を尻に敷くことになるのでもってのほか。長財布はお金だけの居場所なので会員証や名刺などいれてはいけない、と説いています。
（私は二つ折り財布で、名刺も会員証も入っていて、たまにお尻のポケットに入れますが年収は財布の値段の200倍はゆうに越えています…）
ですがこの本で本当に言いたいことは「長財布を持ちなさい」ではなく（p140に「長財布であっても、折財布であっても、結局ただの財布であることに変わりありません」と書いてあります）、お金とちゃんと向き合いましょう、お金を大切にしましょう、お金に意識を向けることで人生を変えましょう、ということです。本の中で5万円の傘の話が出てきますが、安物買いの銭失い（刹那的な浪費）を戒め、いいものを長く大切に使う（計画性を持った消費）ことでお金に好かれるようになるという例として挙げています。
とても読みやすく、内容も納得できる、いい本です。

It is a bestseller who advocated a famous (?) Formula called “wallet price × 200 = annual income”. The book at hand is sixteenth in six months.
I use long wallets because I want my bills to relax in my wallet. A double fold wallet is not good as it bends a bill. In addition, being able to stay in the pocket of the butt will lay the bills in the butt because it will pop. As long wallet is a place of money only, we are preaching that membership cards and business cards etc can not be included.
(I am a two fold wallet, business cards and membership cards are included, occasionally put in my pocket but my annual income is over 200 times the wallet price …)
But what I really want to say in this book is not “Do not have a long wallet” (p 140, “Even if it is a long wallet, even a folded wallet, it will not change to be just a wallet after all” Let’s face the money properly, Let’s treasure money, Let’s change our life by paying attention to money. Although a story of an umbrella of 50,000 yen comes out in the book, I warn you of the loss of money buying (momentary waste) and use the good things for a long time carefully (consumption with plan) It is cited as an example that it will be liked.
It is a very nice book that is very easy to read and content convincing.
