原油価格が下がってシェールがス・シェールオイルのコスト高がデメリットになると思いきや、しぶといアメリカ企業はコスト削減で対抗してちゃんと採算に乗せています。

昔から地下深くには天然ガスも原油もあることはわかっていましたが、技術がなくて掘り出すことができませんでした。それがアメリカの個人の努力と財力で可能になり、現在のシェール革命を迎えます。それなら、日本の海底に多量に眠っている天然ガスの固まりであるメタンハイドレートも将来的には安価に掘り出されるようになるでしょう。そうなればエネルギー自給比率が大いに上昇し、アメリカと同じ革命を迎えられるかもしれません。

A good book written mainly about shale gas. The relationship with Japan is also written clearly. Local reports are also fun.

Crude oil prices are going down and shale thinks expensive cost of shoe oil will be disadvantageous, and it is aggressively American companies competing with cost reduction and getting profitable.

I knew there were both natural gas and crude oil deep underground, but I could not dig up without technology. It is made possible by individual efforts and financial resources of the United States, and we will celebrate the current shale revolution. If so, methane hydrate, which is a mass of natural gas that is sleeping abundantly in the seafloor of Japan, will be inexpensively discovered in the future. If so, the energy self-sufficiency ratio will rise greatly and may be revolutionized with America.
